We did something funny ….

0501Despite the recession, this year’s Comic Relief produced record returns for international and domestic charities.  This is testament, not only to the generous spirit of the British public, but also to organisers up and down the country who created events – big and small – to raise money.

I was lucky enough to be at one such event.  The Bonnie Prince pub in Chellaston organised events such as a sponsored jelly bath, a charity auction (including two of their scantily clad chefs!) and sponsored hair-cuts.  They raised an incredible £1406.51!  The whole City should be proud of Lisa and Emily who organized it, and to the punters who saw beyond themselves and dug-in to support a wonderful cause.

Thank you so much for inviting me guys – I look forward to seeing you again soon.
