I’ve been chatting to Conservative Councillor, Amar Nath about Normanton and the planned regeneration. We both think that all the good bits about the area like thriving businesses and incredible cultural diversity can now be enhanced. At the same time, this is a great opportunity to tackle the bad bits like parking, congestion and overcrowding.
However, I have to say that I remain concerned about this Liberal council’s habit of wasting money on speed bumps and pointless street furniture. Let’s hope they get it right this time but I’d be much more confident with a Conservative administration watching over the investment.
