I was up in Norwich North this weekend working on Chloe Smith’s by-election campaign. Chloe (pictured below) is a fantastic candidate and a great friend of mine – I know she’ll be a great MP if we win. If any of you have any time to give, the team over there will really appreciate your support – I promise it is time well spent.
While I was up there I also saw the incredible sense of community that big civic events can inspire. The Lord Mayor’s Procession in Norwich brings the whole county together. School children dance on floats next to elderly care groups, disabled charities and local businessmen. The size of the undertaking is phenomenal
but it strikes me as a wonderful way to celebrate the people of the city. Perhaps, with all the diversity and talent in our city, we should try to make something equally impressive happen?
