A friend of mine works for Google and he told me about a tool they’ve developed that helps politicians engage with their constituents.  It’s call Google moderator and it allows people to submit questions or policy ideas to their representatives and vote on which ones are most important to them. It was a great pleasure to support a brilliant fund-raising event in Chellaston.  Local Conservative Councillors teamed up with a landlord and created a wonderful village fete style atmosphere to raise money for our military heroes.   Having only left the army a few years ago, plenty of my mates are fighting in Afghanistan.  I know that events like this send them the message that we appreciate them, we care about them...
