Campaign Dog

IMG00057-20100417-1715[1]In a recent moment of weakness, my girlfriend relented to my repeated requests to get a dog.

Boz (pictured) is now part of our family and seems to be happily settling into his new life.

As you can see, he’s enjoying the campaign as he gets to meet lots of people and is regularly the centre of attention.

If you see the two of us around the constituency please stop us to say hello.

Very nice dog Jack, pedigree no doubt? I see you are trying to ‘compete’ with my rescue dog of 11 years, Sparky. Maybe they’ll meet on the campaign trail? Just remember a dog is for life not just for elections!

  2. I happen to know Jack is a real dog lover and not just posing for votes Mr Graves (even though I do admire that you rescued yours.

I think the blue rosette suits Boz.

Yay for dog lovers! Yay for Jack!

  3. Dog Lover says:

We met Jack and Boz in town, and it was obvious that Jack is a real dog lover. He was happy to talk to us just about dogs, and didn’t hijack the the conversation with self-promotion. Boz is a very well behaved, well loved dog and why do people assume it’s just a stunt? I will base my vote partly on attitudes to animal rights and if I had a lovely dog like Boz, I would take him to work with me too, if I could.

  4. Well Done!!!!!!!

Hi Jack and Boz so sorry Beckett held her seat, but we want you to remember you won a swing of 9.3% and reduced Beckett’s votes considerably. 11,729 people voted for you Jack and so did our human!

Rest up and start being a pain in Beckett’s rear!

Hector, Bonny and their typist, Catherine.

  5. David King says:

    Jack, absolutely well done!

I admired you for getting out there and trying to move Derby South on from old politics. Most of us talk about our dissatisfaction with things and whinge. You tried to do something!

You ran a really positive campaign and this result is a loss to Derby South who could have had a decent motivated MP.

    Next time eh!!

  6. Marco says:

Well done, Jack. There is some sadness, not because we are poor losers, but because we all know that the people of Derby deserve better then Beckett.

As an aside, I had Chris Williamson as my Councillor for many years. My opinion of him is unprintable. Suffice to say Chris Williamson and Margaret Beckett are both out of the same unholy mould. God help his new constituents…I now feel only despair. Why, oh why, are the people of Derby so gullible?
